Abstract

Visão Missionária magazine is a publication of the Baptist Woman's Missionary Union of Brazil, which teaches the Baptist Woman how to play her various functions in daily as a Christian. The aim of this paper is to discuss the relation between faith and beauty in this magazine. In other to do this, it analyzes a beauty recipe for the Christian woman, published by Baptist Woman’s Union. This work is based in the notions of Global Semantic and Constituint Discourses proposed by Maingueneau.

Daiane Rodrigues de Oliveira, State University of Campinas (Unicamp/Brazil)

Daiane Rodigues de Oliveira é mestra em Linguística (área de concentração: Análise do Discurso) pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Atualmente é doutoranda em Linguística pela mesma universidade. Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Análise do Discurso. Temas de pesquisa: discursos constituintes, discurso religioso, feminino, protestantismo.
