Abstract

From the role considerations of Goffman ([1959] 2005) and the rereading of Weizman (2006, 2008) and Sarangi (2010, 2011) in an interactional perspective in professional scenarios, this paper aims to discuss about the notion of role, seeking to propose a theoretical-analytical construct that can be used in future researches.

Roberta Fernandes Pacheco, Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF/Brazil)

Roberta Fernandes Pacheco holds a PhD in linguistics from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). She is an adjunct professor in the Department of Foreign Modern Languages at UFJF since 2010. She works in the Spanish-speaking area.
