License plates and the relationship with the exponential function

This paper aims to report the experience of Mathematics undergraduates in the development of a workshop entitled "A tour through the history of license plates and their relationship with the exponential function", which was carried out during the pandemic period, through remote teaching at State School Isaías Alves, in the city of Poções - Bahia. The workshop is part of one of the extension actions of the Mathematics Teaching Laboratory, of the State University of Southwest Bahia, and aimed to bring the undergraduate student in Mathematics closer to the school context. In this report, the moments of the workshop were presented, as well as the practices that these undergraduates developed in the context of remote education. The work brings reflections on the contributions of extension actions in the initial teacher education, in addition to thinking about the work of everyday themes related to mathematical content and the use of digital technologies in the context of the Mathematics class.
