Experience report: thematic room in teaching-learning in Geography

This experience report presents the author's experience in the classroom as a scholarship holder from PIBID (Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program), focused on the training of Geography teachers at UESB (State University of Southwest Bahia). The report was conducted at Colégio Estadual Abdias Menezes (CEAM), in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. The classes involved were 3rd year A and B in the afternoon shift, under the guidance of the supervising teacher. The objective is to demonstrate the effectiveness and positive impact of implementing a thematic room in Geography, highlighting its relevance in the educational context of Colégio CEAM during the period of structural transition. The analysis methodology considered was qualitative and descriptive, covering observations, participation in classes and relationships with colleagues and students. The conclusions highlighted the importance of active methodologies and teacher renewal, in addition to the valuable experience for the author, who, as an undergraduate, was able to learn about the school environment and the experiences of the teaching profession and a Geography themed room.
