Resumen

This study aimed to describe nursing care in family planning in primary care, according to the Brazilian literature. It is an integrative review of the literature of the qualitative and descriptive type, carried out in the electronic databases SciELO and Virtual Health Library from February to May 2018, opted for relevant papers published in the period from 2010 to 2017. Nine articles were selected, from the interpretation of the findings, a thematic category was constructed: Fragilities in family planning assistance, such as: the need for training of nurses in the units, lack of adequate spaces to carry out the guidelines, absence of specific actions as well as execution in isolation, lack of articulation with other services and priority service to the female public. The relevance of the nursing professional in the context of family planning was evidenced, however weaknesses were described both in the care provided and in the quality of the offered system. Thus, it is necessary to create actions and conditions essential for the execution of these educational practices in health with quality.
