Mental health and ethnic relations: psychologist training for SUS and SUAS, colonization and curriculum

The article approaches the mental health of the black population from the intersection between social psychology, clinical psychoanalytic psychology and ethnic and racial relations. From classic literature on the subject, analysis of the training curriculum and survey of the final reports of internship in psychology from two universities in northeastern Brazil, we present the partial analyzes. The results reveal that there is still a lot to be done for psychological science to formally recognize in its curriculum the demands of the black population's psychological suffering. Because the subject is marginalized or passed over by mental health professionals who work at the Brazilian university.
