VIOLÊNCIA COMO VIOLAÇÃO DOS DIREITOS HUMANOS DE MINORIAS SEXUAIS IMPACTOS NA SAÚDE
Resumo
Identificar a relação entre violência sofrida por minorias sexuais e suas implicações na saúde do grupo. Estudo de reflexão, o qual se fundamentou no levantamento de literatura nacional e internacional sobre as implicações da violência na saúde sob a população de Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais e Transgêneros. Verifica-se que aspectos preocupantes relacionados ao contexto social discriminatório e homofóbico concorrem para elevação do número de atos violentos contra minorias sexuais, propiciando consequências negativas na saúde desta população, como o envolvimento precoce com substâncias psicoativas, alterações de comportamento, quadros depressivos, homofobia internalizada e tentativas de suicídio. Ações intersetoriais podem concorrer para redução dos agravos.
