This article had the objective of evidence the role of extensionist actions of a public university in the process of co-creation of social innovations. For this purpose, the Living Lab Mais Juntas served as a unit of analysis to explore these extensionist actions as an object of study. The method for developing this work was research. In general, this research showed that through extension actions the public university is capable of filling institutional gaps in society, coordinating and leading (or orchestrating) methodologies for co-creation of social innovations, as observed in the Living Lab Mais Juntas – implemented by the unified Project with an emphasis on extension Mais Juntas of UFPel. It is also worth highlight that the use of the Design Sprint co-creation method enabled the mobility of knowledge, the maintenance of network stability and horizontal communication, the construction of the relational capital between actors, in addition to the successful co-creation of three social technologies.
