With the main theme Notes on Eroticism and Sacred in Yoruba Traditional Religion, this text was organized into five sessions: (I) Eroticism; (II) The Yoruba Traditional Religion; (III) Enchantment and trance’s allure; (IV) Marriage rituals between deities and human beings; (V) The existential and spiritual search of the Axes Houses’ regulars. On construction of the text were used theoretical contributions of Awolalu, Bataille, Braudrillard, Fernandes, Rodrigo Frias, Ribeiro, Sàlámì and Valencia, as well as fragments of Veda's wisdom. Were emphasized the dynamics between humans and deities in religious rituals in Africa, with special emphasis on imagination and fantasy in the epistemic process provided by these rituals. Recognized the important role reserved for seduction in eroticism, it was pointed out the risk of, stripped the Eroticism of your mystical and sacred character, be reduced to the condition of lubricity, debauchery and lasciviousness. There is, finally, the question of existential and spiritual search of the Axes Houses’ regulars.
Keywords: Eroticism and Sacred, Imagination, Orishas, Oduduwa Temple of Orishas, Yoruba Traditional Religion.
