Linguagens visuais e culturas: pesquisa e educação em foco

Abstract

Thinking about the discussion involving visual languages and culture is to
open up a range of discursive and experiential possibilities that surround
this field of human knowledge. Our interest here is to show, based on
reports of actions developed in this field, how provocations about the
topic produced different results. We list three experiments carried out in
the field of research with Visual Languages whose results express this
diversity of possibilities for dealing with the topic. The works of Manoel
Santana, Robson Amorim and Ronaldo da Paixão reflect this and frame
with their examples a framework of possibilities, resulting from the
guidance over these more than thirty years of experience with actions
directed at research and the experienced application of Visual
Languages in the field of culture.
