Resumo

O documento propõe um quadro teórico para a construção de uma comunidade de biossegurança no Grande Caribe, integrando biossegurança, transdiplomacia e comunidade de segurança. Analisa os processos de integração regional no CARICOM, OECO e AEC, destacando seu potencial e desafios para fomentar cooperação, confiança e responsabilidade na proteção da vida e do território. O trabalho enfatiza a superação da segurança tradicional para priorizar sustentabilidade ecológica, justiça social e transdiplomacia multinível envolvendo atores estatais e civis. Apesar das desigualdades e fragmentação, essas organizações oferecem níveis complementares de integração rumo a uma governança resiliente e inclusiva. Avançar requer liderança renovada e participação genuína, estabelecendo um paradigma biopolítico regional essencial para a paz e o desenvolvimento sustentável no Caribe e além.
