REVISTA EDUCAÇÃO EM PAGES <Dissemination of knowledge and commitment to science>
At the end of January 2023, Revista Educação em Páginas (Redupa) launches the first batch of articles in its second volume. The event coincides with the six-month “anniversary” of the journal’s inauguration, with the publication of the first batch of volume number 1, which took place in July 2022.
Upon completing six months of existence, Redupa brings together the entire team to carry out an extensive self-assessment and decides to make it public. A first self-assessment was carried out one month after the launch of the first texts and a second one just after the Journal completed three months.
In six months, Revista Educação em Páginas, which aims to publish texts in five modalities (articles, reviews, interviews, essays and conferences), has already made texts available to its readers in four of these modalities.
With regard to the national geographic coverage of the institutions of origin of the authors, Revista Educação em Páginas published texts from nine states in six months, thus reaching four of the five Brazilian regions, lacking only the membership of the Midwest.
By bringing this geographic focus to the international scene, Redupa published texts from six countries, reaching three continents: Africa, Latin America and Europe.
As for the reach of readers, the Magazine found people interested in knowing the texts during the first six months in seventy-six countries, covering all continents around the world.
Considering that it has only been in public for six months, the editors of Revista Educação em Páginas, meeting in early February 2023, consider that it was a period of great initial advances and evaluate the entry of the Journal in the scientific community with the concept GOOD.
The self-assessment took as reference the disclosed objectives, the path taken in the period under analysis and the planning of the next steps. Redupa has goals that are in line with the purpose of being a vehicle for the dissemination and circulation of knowledge in Education with a scientific, academic, social and political commitment. To this end, as part of its strategic actions, the Educação em Páginas team invites readers and authors to make use of published texts in new educational experiences. Redupa's editorial team self-evaluates that the journal has the potential to be useful in some opportunities; namely: in the references of disciplines; in the studies and readings of the research groups; in the days of pedagogical studies of schools and teaching networks; in the bibliography of selection notices and competitions; in curriculum discussions; in the foundation of new studies.
Upon concluding this self-assessment, the team at Revista Educação em Páginas reaffirms its commitment to continue learning how to conduct the editorial process of the journal responsibly and with the purpose of strengthening the conditions for promoting the “encounter” between authors and readers through its pages , which are publicly available, accessible and free of charge.
