Who decided how it would be? The teacher participation in the transition from presential teaching to remote teaching in basic Education schools in the state of São Paulo

This article brings data on research carried out at the beginning of the period of social distancing caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, on teacher participation in decision-making in the adaptation and continuity of school activities in the transition from presential teaching to online teaching. The research was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires in virtual groups of teachers on social networks and answered voluntarily by the teachers. Data collected from 52 teachers working in public and private networks in the state of São Paulo were selected. The results show that there was little participation of the teachers in this process, and that the work was precarious and without its due appreciation
