Abstract

As a multidetermined phenomenon, suicide requires complex global health approaches. This critical analysis discusses the *Handbook of Suicide Prevention: Insights, Strategies, and Approaches* (Springer, 2025), a work that integrates theoretical foundations, intersectional perspectives, and novel interventions. Edited by Updesh Kumar, the text spans fields from neurobiology to sociology, assessing risks among vulnerable groups and strategies such as gatekeeper training. Essential for informing public policy and clinical practice, the book consolidates evidence-based prevention within the context of contemporary suicidology.
