Abstract

This editorial discusses circadian misalignment as a critical determinant of health in contemporary society—exacerbated by a lifestyle characterized by ubiquitous exposure to artificial light and disconnection from natural light cycles—and examines its potential impacts. Chronobiology is presented as the science that harmonizes physiological knowledge regarding system integration. When combined with new computational analysis tools and wearable monitoring devices, it emerges as an essential pillar of precision health, offering new perspectives for assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, and the individualization of therapeutic practices in public health.
