Estudo da radiação de micro-ondas na redução da concentração de Saccharomyces cerevisiae para a busca de uma nova radioterapia de endocardites bacterianas

Resumo

Nos últimos anos, muitos esforços vêm sendo realizados para incrementar as ferramentas no controle  de redução de micro-organismos pelo uso de radiação de micro-ondas, tanto na área da saúde quanto na  indústria de alimentos. Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito letal da radiação de micro-ondas  sobre as células da levedura Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Um total de oito alíquotas de 20 mL de uma  suspensão de S. cerevisiae em solução salina foi utilizado no estudo, no qual duas delas foram isoladas  completamente de qualquer tipo de radiação eletromagnética (amostras controle) e as demais foram  bombardeadas em diferentes cenários, variando a potência da radiação em câmara de ressonância a  2,45GHz por um período de 10 segundos. Observou-se uma redução da ordem de 102 na concentração  das suspensões de leveduras expostas à radiação eletromagnética com 375 W e 750 W de potência.
