This study aimed at contribute with the learning of the students of the High School when studying about Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements through an existing educational game of the domino type. The intervention involved classes of the 1st year of the High School of the State School 13 de Maio in the municipality of Porto Alegre do Norte/MT. Its development occurred during the second half of 2016. This qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study focused on the use of educational games to teach chemistry in High School. The educational game allowed the students to work on the theme in a playful way and to broaden previous knowledge about the chemical elements and structure of the Periodic Table by means of this group activity. The strategy also served to broaden or meaning the learning about families or groups and the relationship of the name with the symbol of each chemical element. It was found that studying chemistry through the domino education game is a viable strategy, since it provided good results in understanding the organization and structure of the Periodic Table, as well as its properties. Because it is a fun and instructive option, the educational game can contribute to the construction of meaningful learning.
