Abstract

This article presents the development of Question Hub, a web-based platform designed to support the creation, sharing, answering, commenting on, and evaluation of multiple-choice questions by students, with artificial intelligence–assisted content moderation. The proposal responds to the need to expand active and collaborative learning strategies, particularly in contexts where multiple-choice questions are employed as tools for study, revision, and assessment. Methodologically, this study is characterized as applied and exploratory research guided by the Design Science Research approach, which informed problem identification, objective definition, requirements elicitation, artifact development, and preliminary verification. The system was designed with features including user registration, question creation, identification of the correct answer, justification fields, comments, peer assessment, subject-based filters, performance tracking, version control, and automated moderation through artificial intelligence. Due to the absence of submission to a Research Ethics Committee, no final evaluation was conducted with students, teachers, or external users. Consequently, the results do not demonstrate pedagogical effects; rather, they indicate the development of a functional, technically implemented artifact grounded in the relevant literature. It is concluded that Question Hub has the potential to support active and collaborative educational practices, although future empirical validation is required.
