The following article deals with the concept of alienation in the interface with politics. Although without ignoring the fact that this concept in Marxian social theory, made explicit in philosophical manuscripts, as well as in the work German ideology, concerns four aspects linked to the mode of production of bourgeois society and how in this spectrum the worker was alienated. In this article, however, the concept of alienation is applied in relation to the alienated contemporary political subject. In this sense, it was the denial of politics that appears in a discourse based on common sense, in addition to extremist forms as traces of alienation. In addition, the concept of myth being used in the political context, as well as what it translates, and finally emancipatory education as a viable path to de-alienation. The method used as the theoretical foundation of the research was the Marxist dialectic because it contains elements that serve as a basis for analyzing contradictions that permeate the discourses, as well as to which reality this points. The methodological instruments used presuppositions of the Marxist dialectic, for this moving the categories of the method in Marx, in addition to other authors within their respective relations with the theme. The research revealed, a disparity between discourse and practice, the appearance concealing the essence, as made explicit in the text through these two categories of method in Marx. Finally, the research points to the exercise of an emancipatory education as a way of de-alienating.
