Teodolito caseiro: construindo significados para conceitos das razões trigonométricas (seno, cosseno e tangente)

Abstract

The present work is an experience report of an activity developed with classes
from the 2nd grade of High School at Colégio Estadual de Urandi in the city
of Urandi - BA. Mathematics classes are labeled by the students as
monotonous and uninteresting, as most of the time they do not see the
practice of the contents worked in the classroom. In the study of
trigonometry it is essential to solve problem situations, since many of the
exercises to be solved have aspects that are contextualized with everyday life.
Thus, the focus of this activity was to motivate students to build their own
problems on basic trigonometric concepts (sine, cosine and tangent) through
the construction and use of a homemade theodolite. Searching in this way,
the characterization of mathematics as an essential discipline and meaning
for your life. And thus awakening and fostering a more active attitude among
students towards this discipline that is so stigmatized in our society.
