Dois pioneiros no mundo da gramática: o médico Ernesto Carneiro Ribeiro e o Professor Francisco Dequi

Abstract

TWOPIONEERSIN THEGRAMMAROF THEWORLD: THEERNESTO CARNEIRO RIBEIROMEDICALANDTEACHER FRANCISCO DEQUI. This article emphasizes aspects that reinforce the pioneering character of two intellectuals: Ernesto Carneiro Ribeiro, early last century, and Francisco Dequi, contemporary. The first publication of the first grammar of the spoken language and the discussions with Ruy Barbosa about the review of the first Civil Code. The last for the vast publishing generic nomination “Neopedagogia da Gramática”which is in large national debate. Both sought the "other way" to lead to real command of grammar. Of the conflict between Ruy Barbosa and Ernesto Carneiro Ribeiro were born debates known as the “Réplica”and the “Tréplica”. From the current Teacher Neodidacticcame the proposition to modernize the teaching of our Portuguese.
