Abstract

In this work, we discuss the Philosophy of Giorgio Agamben, pointing out the notion of potency that Agamben presents in his bio-political articles, showing, in contrast, how it is possible to appreciate this in the just expression of the literary experience, defined by the author as a use free from language. It is observed that if in the society of the spectacle our linguistic nature advances towards us as if on its back, this same spectacle carries a positive possibility, to be turned against it, namely, the very possibility of this common good.

Peter Pál Pelbart, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP/Brasil)

Peter Pál Pelbart é doutor em Filosofia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1996). Atualmente é professor titular da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo no Departamento de Filosofia e no Núcleo de Estudos da Subjetividade do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Psicologia Clínica. Estudioso da obra de Gilles Deleuze, traduziu para o português Conversações, Crítica e Clínica e parte de Mil Platôs. Escreveu sobre a concepção de tempo em Deleuze (O tempo não-reconciliado, Perspectiva, 1998), sobre a relação entre filosofia e loucura (Da clausura do fora ao fora da clausura: Loucura e Desrazão, Brasiliense, 1989 e A Nau do tempo-rei, Imago, 1993) e sobre a relação entre política e subjetividade (A vertigem por um fio: Políticas da subjetividade contemporânea, Iluminuras, 2000, e Vida Capital, Iluminuras, 2003), da qual é co-editor. Trabalha com Filosofia Contemporânea, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Deleuze, Foucault, tempo, loucura, subjetividade, biopolítica.
