Dilma and“radicals of the PT”: a discursive analysis

Abstract

In this article, we discuss the relationship established discursively between the then pre-candidate for the 2010 presidential election, Dilma Rousseff, and the so-called "radical" PT. From the reports of excerpts analysis conveyed in Veja magazine, we seek to show how is the conflict regarding the discursive game that legitimized in different discursive positions. In addition, concurrently also we discussed the discursive relationship established between Dilma and Lula as political subjects, in which we identify a close relationship between them during the period.

Leandro Chagas Barbosa, State University of Southwest of Bahia (Uesb/Brazil)

Leandro Chagas Barbosa holds a Masters in Linguistics from the State University of Southwest of Bahia (2014). He participates in the Research Group on Discourse Analysis (GPADis / Uesb / CNPq), where he develops research in Discourse Analysis.

Maria da Conceição Fonseca-Silva, State University of Southwest of Bahia (Uesb/Brazil)

Maria da Conceição Fonseca-Silva holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the State University of Campinas, where she also completed post-doctoral training. She is a Level 2 Researcher at CNPq. She is currently a Full Professor at the State University of Southwest of Bahia, where she is a Research Professor of the Permanent Postgraduate Program in Linguistics (PPGLin-Uesb) and Memory: Language and Society (PPGMEMORIALS-Uesb). She has worked in the Coordination of the Postgraduate Program in Memory: Language and Society (PPGMEMORIALS-Uesb), from the implementation of the master's degree in 2008 until February 2013, and as vice-coordinator from 2014 to 2016. She coordinates the Post -Graduation in Linguistics since 2017. She is co-editor of the journal Estudos da Língua (gem). He is the leader of the Discourse Analysis Research Group; (GPADis / Uesb / CNPq) and the Research Group on Language Studies (GPEL / Uesb / CNPq). He has experience in the area of ​​Linguistics and in the multidisciplinary area of ​​Memory, with emphasis on Discourse Analysis, working mainly on the following themes: effects of sense, truth effect, memory effects, justice effects, political discourse and legal discourse, political corruption, subject, woman.

Adilson Ventura, State University of Southwest of Bahia (Uesb/Brazil)

Adilson Ventura is a PhD and Master in Linguistics from the State University of Campinas. He is a full professor at the State University of the Southwest of Bahia - UESB, where he works in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Linguistics as a permanent professor. Mainly works in the areas of Argumentative Semantics and Semantics of the Event.
