Abstract

This research aims at understanding the women’s images discursivized in news published in online magazines directed to a female public. This article is based on the studies of Bakhtin Circle; in the Theory of Journalism and in feminist studies. The universe of analysis is composed by five magazines: Ana Maria, Claudia, Glamour, Marie Claire and Tpm. The magazines are oriented to the women’s images socially constructed, which refer to the housekeeper, married and responsible to take care of the children. Based on these images, the news are constructed and, simultaneously, ratify those images and reinforces the activity of women at private spheres.
