CASE STUDY OF A CHILD ACQUIRING A BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE PHONOLOGY: THE EMERGENCE OF TEMPLATES. This study investigates the manifestation of templates in early phonological development of Brazilian Portuguese by following the dynamic perspective of development and the Whole-Word/Templatic Phonology. After analysing data of a child from 9 to 24 months, we observed moments of use and disuse of templates through the sessions. We conclude that the variability in phonological development occurs due to the manifestation of templates and the self-organization principle.
