Abstract

This text invests in a discussion about the field of Brazilian literature, calling attention to its traditional formation, and the way in which it is organized, from the evolutionist conception that guides its operation. This campus modus operandi suffers from two erasures that promise to undermine its functioning: the idea of discontinuity, defended by the avant-garde line of Brazilian literature, and peripheral literature. Our intention is to show how the way these two fissures were incorporated by the national literary tradition, ended up undermining its transforming potential in the field, making the democratization of its forms of valuation unfeasible, making the erasures not manage to operate significant changes in the field of literature. in Brazil. The mitigation of this fabrication gear, which dominates the national field in our literature, is briefly pointed out in this work as a strength of black-Brazilian literature and the Afro-diasporic repertoire that constitutes it, especially from the notions of orality.
