Dramaturgies of Precarity and Queer/Cuier Biopotency: Confronting Algorithmic Necropolitics on Digital Platforms

Abstract

This Article proposes a socio-cultural analysis of the Dramaturgy of Precariousness as an aesthetic and pedagogical response to Algorithmic Necropolitics. We investigate how queer/cuier and peripheral bodies, historically targeted by state policies of death, transform material scarcity and digital invisibility (operated by algorithmic filtering and censorship systems) into Biopotency and a strategy for survival. Through the creation of  videoperformances on digital platforms, these artists activate a mode of cultural anthropophagy and Becoming (Devir) that challenges the hegemonic canon and the consumption logic of digital capitalism. The research culminates in the proposition of a Pedagogy of Biopotency structured in six curricular axes, aiming to think other ways to teach of Performing Arts by validating the experiential knowledge of places and the imaginative drive as political projects of (re)existence in the Global South. It is noteworthy that the understanding and systematization of these axes were delimited within the scope of the research project (Projects’s title and research group name supressed for evaluation  matters) in development since May 2025.
