The post-modern literature has a defamiliarization character, insofar as it contrasts with preconceived concepts. This article is centred on racism and sexism problematization, both current in Brazilian society, which are evidenciated in Leite derramado, by Chico Buarque, through the artistic procedure, in which the narrator interconnects the past and present. For this, it is based on studies of narratology, particularly those that focus on the implicit reader, intertextuality and metafiction.
