Abstract

We investigated the identities and the beliefs of Bachelor's in English Teaching students at Unifesspa. The objective was to understand how the beliefs of these undergraduates about how to be and learn to be an English teacher are related to the process of formation of their teaching identities. The bibliographical research was based on Applied Linguistics studies. We developed a case study using narratives. Results show that the subjects' professional identities are being constructed based on the beliefs they formed and modified throughout the degree through their own past and present experiences in teaching and learning languages in different contexts.
