Abstract

This article presents some reflections about the university extension as a dialogic space to build knowledge and contextualizes the university as a changing space of social practices. It presents the university extension as a possibility for dialogical learning and practical way to inspire new possibilities for change and social transformation. Search explicit language for multidimensional and speech dialectical perspective, based on the theory of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), by Fairclough (2001). Also brings the Freire’s conceptions, for which dialogue is an emancipatory educational principle that promotes the thinking critical in action-reflection, change and transformation of the world.

Antonio Escandiel Souza, University of Cruz Alta (UNICRUZ / Brazil)

Antonio Escandiel de Souza holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a Master's Degree in Linguistic Studies from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He is a professor of the Postgraduate Program in Sociocultural Practices and Social Development, University of Cruz Alta (UNICRUZ). It acts in the research line Language, communication and society. Published results of research in theoretical and applied linguistics in different indexed journals.

Aline Aparecida Cezar Costa, University of Cruz Alta (UNICRUZ/Brazil)

Aline Aparecida Cezar Costa holds a Master's Degree in Sociocultural Practices and Social Development from the University of Cruz Alta (UNICRUZ). She is an Extension Coordinator at the same university. She is the editor of CATAVENTOS magazine. Has experience in the following subjects: university extension and teacher training.
