Qual o papel da ultrassonografia pulmonar point-of-care em pacientes infectados pelo covid-19?- uma revisão integrativa

Resumen

Tendo em vista os diversos padrões de acometimento pulmonar encontrados nos pacientes infectados pelo Coronavírus 2019 (COVID-19), o acompanhamento diário ou sequencial da evolução da imagem pulmonar é um dado fundamental no raciocínio e seguimento terapêutico de pacientes que atingem níveis de gravidade elevados (Síndrome do Desconforto Agudo Respiratório e necessidade de altas concentrações de oxigênio suplementar). Eis que o ultrassom pulmonar, já utilizado como modalidade diagnóstica bem estabelecida no conceito point-of-care da medicina de emergência e na terapia intensiva, assume um papel importante no contexto da pandemia pela doença do COVID-19, devido à boa correlação dos seus achados com a tomografia computadorizada e suas vantagens, como a possibilidade de realizá-lo à beira do leito sem necessidade de transporte para outro setor, baixo custo, ausência de radiação, além de permitir follow-up diário do acometimento pulmonar dos pacientes. Esse estudo trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, compreendendo artigos publicados entre 2019 e 2020, disponíveis nas bases de dados Scielo e PubMed, cujo objetivo é o de fornecer uma visão geral do papel da ultrassonografia pulmonar no diagnóstico, processo de tomada de decisão terapêutica e monitoramento da pneumonia COVID-19.
