Abstract

his paper discusses about the interface between the historiographical production of Michel de Certeau’s (2002), in “The writing of history”, and the assumptions of the French Discourse Analysis. In this regard, we are guided by the following problem: is there an interface between Certeau's historiographical production and the assumptions of the French Discourse Analysis? The main objective here is to promote reflections on the theoretical-methodological procedure conceived by the French historian with the French Discourse Analysis, particularly in relation to the said and the non-said associated with the concept of forgetfulness(PÊCHEUX, 1995). We believe that there is a deep approximation between both, especially because this linguistic strand aims to study the production of meanings made by the subjects in any communicative situation.
