The institutionalization of the anti-racist agenda within the State was configured as part of the repertoire of strategies of struggle and resistance of Afro-Latin American movements. The objective of this article is to offer a tool to analyze the interaction patterns in the occupation of bureaucratic positions by militants of Afro-Latin American movements, which occurred between 2000 and 2016, based on the experience of militants in three countries: Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela. We develop the category “outside-inside-outsider ” as a category of fluidity, ambiguity, inadequacy, and infiltration that will allow us to discuss the diffuse and marginal place occupied by Afro-descendant militants between the State-Society borders, and at the same time, highlight racism, through the construction of black bodies as "impolitic bodies", as one of the factors that characterized the experience of occupation of public spaces.Downloads
