About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The name "ODEERE" is a reference to the Education and Ethnic Relations Board of UESB, which since 2005 offers extension, specialization and, more recently, master's courses with the aim of training professionals to work with the education of ethnic relations, from gender and sexualities.

ODEERE: International Journal of Ethnic Relations (ISSN 2525-4715) is a biannual journal of the State University of Southwest Bahia (UESB) that publishes original and unpublished works developed around discussions on ethnicity, relationships ethnic, gender and sexual diversity, in different times and spaces and addressing different social groups, such as indigenous, black, African, etc.

ODEERE publishes texts in Portuguese, Spanish or English and does not charge fees/costs for submission, processing and publication of articles (APCs/ASCs).

Articles submitted to the Free Articles sections, interviews, experience reports, reviews and articles by New Researchers are received in a continuous flow, which will make up each issue, along with a Dossier, whose theme will be defined by an organizing committee of the Dossier.

Researchers with a minimum PhD degree or one of the authors (co-authors) of the text may publish in the journal.

The article submission process and follow-up must be carried out through the submission system on the journal page.

Submitted articles will be evaluated using the double-blind peer review methodology.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

ODEERE has its DOI identifier (10.22481/odeere) and each published article is assigned a specific DOI.

Preservation of files

ODEERE signed the LOCKSS and CLOCKS for the preservation of the files, being preserved in the Cariniana Network and in the PKP PLN.

Open Access Policy

ODEERE offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater democratization and worldwide dissemination of knowledge.
