APPROVAL CRITERIA

The manuscript submitted to the journal must not be under evaluation by another publication, it must be unpublished and original, for this, the existence of Plagiarism will be verified using the CopySpider program.

All manuscripts will be submitted to two reviewers/reviewers, with a third reviewer being activated in case of disagreeing opinions, always adopting the double-blind review policy. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision on their respective manuscripts, which may be by approval, rejection or acceptance subject to changes/corrections, as indicated by the reviewers.

LANGUAGES

Manuscripts can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish and English. If it is necessary to submit the manuscript in another language, request it in advance by e-mailing revistaodeere@uesb.edu.br

ETHICAL RULES FOR PUBLICATION

Authors should check the JOURNAL'S ETHICS POLICIES file and confirm that they comply with the rules for authors.

As ODEERE only accepts original and unpublished works, manuscripts will be analyzed by the CopySpider anti-plagiarism program.

In cases where plagiarism is detected, we will contact you in order to make necessary changes. In this case, a new submission must be made with the corrected manuscript. If, in the new submission, the manuscript still presents the problems indicated, it will be refused and the authors informed of this situation.

DOUBLE-BLIND PEER REVIEW

Submitted manuscripts are initially analyzed by the Editors for compliance with the submission rules. In case of acceptance of the submission, the manuscript will be sent to the second stage, the Evaluation, in which the submitted manuscript will be forwarded to at least two reviewers/reviewers of the journal. Reviewers will be chosen to ensure that they are independent.

The evaluation process chosen by ODEERE is the double-blind evaluation by peers. For your guarantee, in the process of submission to the journal, care must be taken not to reveal the identity of authors and reviewers during the process.

Thus, authors, editors and reviewers need to observe some precautions regarding the text and document properties:

  1. The authors of the document have excluded from the text any indication that leads to the identification of authorship.
  2. In Word documents (.doc or .docx), the author identification must be removed from the document properties (in the menu File > Properties), starting in File, in the main menu, and clicking in the sequence: File > Save as ... > Tools (or Options on Mac) > Security Options... > Remove personal information from file on save > OK > Save.
  3. Step 2 must be followed for cases in which reviewers will forward the text with suggestions for change or correction.

ODEERE's body of evaluators is made up of PhD researchers from Brazilian and foreign higher education or research institutions.

Reviewers may recommend acceptance for publication, rejection or request for publication upon necessary revisions. Evaluators will use a standard form to analyze the submitted manuscripts, available in the journal's own system. Final acceptance of a manuscript is considered complete only after compliance with the journal's editorial policies and manuscript quality requirements.

The final decision on the acceptance or not of the manuscripts will be up to the Editors, based on the opinions issued by the evaluators. The status of submitted articles can be followed in the system with the login used for submission.

REFERENCES

The author-date system (SILVA, 2016) will be used in the body of the text and author-date-page (SILVA, 2016, p. 65) for direct citations with more than three lines.

If there are more than three authors, et al. in the body of the text. Example: Ferreira et al. (2020) or (FERREIRA et al., 2020). However, in the Reference List, at the end of the manuscript, all authors must be presented.

References Id., Ibidem and Op.cit will not be accepted.

LIST OF BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCES

By default, we will use some general rules for the inclusion of references in the List that must be presented at the end of the manuscript. Are they:

  1. Single alphabetical order, from the author's surname or entity, when this is the author of the document, or by title.
  2. Single space in the text of the reference, separated by a line (“Enter”) between two references. References must be in “justified” format.
  3. Use capital letters or capital letters for the Last Name of the author or authors, in the First word of the title when starting the reference; when the authors are corporate bodies, the name of the jurisdiction (place), if it appears before any governmental body.
  4. Don't put et al.the references, in all styles, all authors must be presented.
  5. Do not put a stripe (___.) in place of the author name that is already listed above.
  6. Authors must be separated with a semicolon.
  7. In the case of journal articles or other publications that have a DOI (Digital Object Identifier System), at the end of the reference, the DOI url must be added in the format https://doi.org/10.XXXXX/odeere/xxxxxx No you must put “DOI:” before the DOI url and not a period at the end of the url.
  8. You must enter the page numbering completely, for example, p.125-130, instead of p. 125-30.
  9. After the reference it will not be necessary to write “Retrieved from”, “Internet”, “Online” or “Available on”. In these cases, the link must be placed at the end of the reference, without using the symbols “<” (before) and “>” (after).
  10. It will not be necessary to indicate page numbering for pre-print articles or for continuous edition journals.

After these indications, we present some ways to present the references in the List at the end of the manuscript.
