Notice for Dossier Organization - Biennium 2022-2023

ODEERE is a journal that publishes semiannual and original works, developed around discussions on ethnicity, ethnic relations, gender and sexual diversity, at different times and spaces and addressing different social groups, such as indigenous, black, African, etc.

As a result, we disclose this call for researchers, with the title of Doctor or Doctor, linked to national and international institutions, to submit proposals for the organization of thematic dossiers for the years 2022 and 2023.

Four dossier proposals will be selected, two for the year 2022 (with publication scheduled for June and December) and two for 2023 (scheduled for June and December).

Dossier proposals may have up to three organisers/tenderers. The committee should have a person who will act in the coordination of the proposal, being indicated in the submission of the proposal. The other components of the organization of the dossier must have the title of Doctor and are preferably linked to a Graduate Program and/or an international institution.

1) The dossier proposal should contain the following items:

1.1) Name, title and institutional link of the organizers);

1.2) The description and framework of the proposal, including the following elements:

- Title (between 60-70 characters maximum);

- Abstract and abstract (up to 600 characters);

- Objectives and desired approaches;

- Justification of the relevance of the proposal.

2) Criteria for evaluating the proposal

Key criteria of the evaluation process are considered:

2.1) The originality of the proposal, especially in relation to the themes of dossiers already published in the journal in previous volumes;

2.2) Relevance and timeliness of the proposal in line with discussions on ethnic relations, in an interdisciplinary way, at different times and spaces and addressing gender, sexual diversity and the problems involving different social groups (indigenous, black, African, children/adolescents, etc.);

2.3) The scope of the proposed theme, in order to allow, mainly, the regional and international diversity of the articles;

2.4) Adequacy to the journal's editorial policy;

2.5) The composition of the committee of organization of the dossier, being considered priority those that the proponents are linked to an international institution and, secondly, to a Graduate Program of the Interdisciplinary area.

 3) Schedule and evaluation steps:

3.1) Proposals must be submitted by 23:59 on September 10, 2021,filling out the form at the link: https://forms.gle/X2N4TEG9ju8exyoZ9 ;

3.2) The proposals will be analyzed taking into account the information presented in the submission and according to the criteria presented in item 2 of this call;

3.3) The Executive Editorial Board of ODEERE will be responsible for evaluating dossier proposals and disclosing the results by September 30, 2021;

3.4) Unselected or unclassified proposals may be resubmitted in the next call.

4) On the tasks of the members of the committee organising the dossiers:

4.1) Encourage the participation of contributions;

4.2) Prepare a dense presentation text, capable of problematizing the chosen theme and presenting the articles approved for that dossier;

4.3) Observe the number of articles (minimum and maximum) required for the publication of the dossier.

5) Editorial policy on dossiers:

5.1) The organizers may submit articles, one per committee component, co-authored or individually;

5.2) The original articles submitted to the dossiers will be evaluated by the organizers, with a minimum of two evaluators for each article. The evaluation will be double-blind, that is, those who submit the articles will not know who evaluated it;

5.2) The publication dates of the dossiers will be: 30/June/2022, 30/December/2022, 30/June/2023 and 30/December/2023. It will be up to the Executive Editorial Committee to define the order for publication of the selected dossiers, in the period of validity of this call;

5.3) The dossier, to be published, must contain at least 06 articles with approved, and can reach 10 articles together with the submission of the dossier. In each issue, in addition to the publication of the articles of the Dossier, articles from the sections will also be published: Free articles, Reports of experiences, New researchers, Reviews and Interviews;

5.4) In case of impossibility of organizing/publishing any of the approved dossiers, the next classified proposal and so on, if necessary, will be invited.
