DE REPENTE NEGRA: reflexões e problematizações sobre ser uma pessoa negra de pele clara no Brasil

This article starts from an account of the recent understanding of its author as a light-skinned black woman. From there, themes related to racial belonging are evoked, in the path taken to this self-declaration, and devices such as colorism and tokenism are highlighted in a socio-historical perspective, in order to investigate the understanding of oneself as a person blackness and the ways in which whiteness intends to control relationships and interactions between people of different skin tones.
