It deals with the life story of Professor and Nurse Maria José dos Santos, affectionately called Zezé, in the role of Nursing in the southwest region of Bahia, at the State University of Southwest Bahia (UESB). It historicizes the character in her professional life as a manager and educator-caregiver in the training of Nursing professionals. The path to unveiling was done through narratives originating from moments of encounters and construction of the interrelationship between the teacher and the author of this study and their personal collection archives, dialogic action with people who knew Zezé, as well as documents and online sources. It seeks to tell the story in darning with the poetic license of implicating the woman, nurse of history, otherness and strength that is made in her. He considers the theme of this dossier opportune to disseminate this Nursing personality who dedicated thirty-five years of his life to the practice of nursing in the interior of Bahia, with repercussions for Brazilian Nursing.
