Abstract

The relations between Brazil and France regarding the dimensions of consideration of racism are similar. In Brazil, the myth of racial democracy prevented the perception of injustices and inequalities based on the racialized dimension. In France the same happens with the myth of the Republic - equality, freedom and fraternity. But these badges are for the non-black French. Brazilian psychology and production in mental health in France have their differences. In Brazil, the alienation of psychologists in the dimension of ethnic relations is emblematic in the 21st century. In France, Lacan's discussions about psychoanalysis promoted the expansion of the psychological field to open the ethnic dimension considering Frantz Fanon and others in the comprehension of psychic suffering. ethnic relations in contemporary times. In this globalized world, with constant migratory flows, ethnic discussion is the first issue for contemporary times. Recalling that black populations in this context are the most violated. Whether in Europe, the Americas (North and South) and Africa, the experiences of the African Diaspora experience bring important experiences to share. To address part of these implications and reflections on the advances and limitations of psychology in Brazil and France in the field of ethnic relations and the relations with national and global present day is the objective of this text.
