This article proposes a critical reflection on the Afro-diasporic dialogues present in the work of Mozambican writer Paulina Chiziane, highlighting the interrelations between identity, gender, ancestry, and cultural resistance. The analysis is based on an interdisciplinary perspective that articulates literary studies, sociology of culture, and decolonial thought, seeking to understand how Chiziane's narratives resignify the place of African women and Afro-descendant heritage in the post-colonial context. Through an analytical reading of selected excerpts from her works such as *Niketche: uma história de poligamia* and *Balada de Amor ao Vento*, the political and symbolic power of literature as an instrument for reconstructing Afro-diasporic memories and contesting colonial legacies is evidenced.
