University extension is an act of gather in quilombo in contemporary times

Abstract

The experience addressed here will be the experience in the University Extension in the Quilombola Education Course, from the ODEERE-Organ of Education and Ethnic Relations, of the State University of Southwest Bahia-UESB, which is linked to the area of ​​knowledge of the Social Sciences and Humanities, being constituted in three doses: theoretical formation, research and immersion in the reality of the field, in an interventional way, being that universe of this report of experiences happens from the field visit in the Recôncavo Baiano, Metropolitan Zone of Salvador and in Salvador , this script aims to introduce students of the extension to the places where part of the history of Brazil was processed and how in these locations the culture and dilemmas experienced by Afro-Brazilian populations still thrive. In this case, the work also includes the visit to Quilombo Pitanga dos Palmares due to its elements making the subjects of the subject in question feasible. As a Social Worker, what motivated me to be a course participant in the ODEERE extension course was the need to seek answers for professional performance, specifically, geographic identification, in a specific municipality in Southwest Bahia, of Traditional Peoples and Communities in order to guarantee your Social Rights. At the end we conclude that being at the University Extension is an act of gather in quilombo in contemporary times.
