Abstract

From the perspective of authorial and inventive practices, this text aims to problematize what artistic-mathematical experiences of future educators can contribute to the composition of curricular guidelines. To this end, inspired by cartographic practices in research, a workshop-device was developed, involving artistic-mathematical elements and assumptions of analogical thinking. Twenty students from the Pedagogy course at a private university participated in the research. The stories produced consider curricular guidelines that reveal processes of thinking about mathematics teaching based on: (1) the Intuitive and Analytical relationship – understanding that these relationships can be complementary; (2) Reality-Analysis-Reality – intentions to know, think about, and take reality as a starting point, hoping that teaching actions will return to lived reality; (3) Cyclical and spiral – understanding that repetition devoid of reflection allows for the fallacy of progress and the lack of in-depth debate. (4) Rhizomatic - allowing the teaching process to occur through a multiplicity of paths, achieved through choice among a range of possibilities. Finally, it is emphasized that the workshop-device enhanced the pluralization of stories and problematized inventive practices of authorial, responsive, and creative processes of producing teaching.
