Resumen

La gerencia educativa es el proceso de dirigir y gestionar las instituciones educativas, con el fin de mejorar la calidad del servicio educativo que ofrecen a la sociedad. La gerencia educativa implica el desarrollo de competencias directivas, como el liderazgo, la toma de decisiones y el trabajo en equipo, así como el uso de metodologías innovadoras y participativas. La gerencia educativa también debe tener en cuenta la diversidad y la inclusión, como principios pedagógicos y valores sociales, que faciliten el aprendizaje significativo y pertinente de los estudiantes. La gerencia educativa se enfrenta a diversos retos y desafíos en el siglo XXI, como la globalización, la tecnología, las políticas públicas y sociales, y la cultura del desconocimiento. La cultura del desconocimiento se refiere al fenómeno de ignorar o desvalorizar el conocimiento generado por otros, especialmente por las comunidades locales o indígenas. La cultura del desconocimiento puede afectar negativamente al proceso educativo, al limitar las fuentes de información, las perspectivas críticas y las oportunidades de aprendizaje. La gerencia educativa debe promover una cultura del conocimiento, que reconozca y valore la diversidad de saberes, que fomente el intercambio y la colaboración entre los actores educativos, y que impulse la generación de nuevo conocimiento relevante para el desarrollo sostenible.
