The housing issue and precarious settlements in Vitória da Conquista - BA, spatialization based on the use of the IBGE census sectors - 2010

The purpose of this text is not to deepen housing issues in the city of Vitória da Conquista, but to show a panel of the repercussion, in that city, of the housing problem in Brazil through the spatiality of some components of housing precariousness by IBGE census sectors. To this end, a brief history of the construction of the problem is presented since the colonial period of the institution of patrimonialist culture, of the exploitation of the labor force of the enslaved people and of their unequal insertion in Brazilian society, continuing in a precarious situation, with little or no The need for a high investment in housing commodities leads the most vulnerable families to adopt several to live in, such as the occupation of public lands and areas of environmental protection.
