Projeto de extensão “Finanças pessoais hoje e sempre!”: relato de experiência das ações na comunidade

Abstract

The extension project titled “Personal Finances Today and Forever!” represented an important initiative favoring a greater capacity of individuals to manage their finances in a conscious and efficient manner. The purpose of the proposal was to encourage the deepening of knowledge and skills related to the topic, allowing participants to reflect on better ways to use money and strategies to manage their finances assertively. To this end, several actions were carried out, including event open to the public, in the form of face-to-face classes at the institution, or remote ones, transmitted on YouTube, in addition to the publication of materials, such as printed pamphlets or post on social media, in particular, on Instagram. Short courses, lectures, workshops and interviews covered general themes, such as habits conducive to a successful financial life, and more specific matters, such as female entrepreneurship. The results of these actions were considered positive, as the participants’ feedback revealed satisfaction with the themes worked on, with the quality of the content involved and the influence of this on their attitudes related to decisions involving the use of money. In this way, it is believed that the skills and knowledge acquired by the participating public during the execution of the project contributed significantly to the improvement of their personal and professional lives.
