Abstract: Health promotion in the university environment focuses on multiple lifestyles, recognizing situations that impact the health of the academic community. The aim was to analyze the contributions of yoga and meditation practice on self-reported symptoms by participants in the health promotion project carried out by students. This is an experience report on the health promotion project: “Introductory course to yoga and meditation as health promotion for university students, technicians, and professors.” The MYMOP instrument was used for evaluation. The main self-reported symptoms were anxiety (50%) and stress (20.8%). The majority of participants (80%) reported improvement, with a decrease in self-reported symptoms, but 20% did not feel any changes, demonstrating that this indicator alone is not sufficient to evidence health improvement in a broader context.
