Tradução como transgressão: entrevista-conversa com Jess Oliveira

Abstract

The Insubmissive Bodies Collective, a group of Black women researchers and scholars, has come to the understanding that it is not only critical to occupy, in an unsubmissive way, places of enunciation but also of writing, which might be challenging for us, Black women. In this sense, the following text is born out of a conversation-interview with Jess Oliveira in September 2020. In this sense, starting from the politics of language, transnational dialogues and translation in order to think about the anti-colonial struggles, the Collective interviewed and talked with Jess Oliveira about the importance of self-definition, the role of language, translation processes and the importance of Black intellectuals in the production of practices of insubordination.
