Biodiversidades étnicas e ancestralidades: ontologias indígenas e ética para futuros sustentáveis

Abstract

In this essay we look at biodiversity as the multiplicity of resources that exist in the context of life on planet Earth. It also implies the presence of the human element and its ethnic condition which is also, in the globalized world, ethnic-racial. Human life based on ethnic ancestry shows us thatthe path to a sustainable future has always been led by indigenous peoples, forest peoples, traditional peoples and quilombolas. These human civilizations, indigenous people, river dwellers, people from the countryside and the forest, black people and quilombolas provide millennia-old technologies capable of safeguarding the planet and making it possible for life and the human species to remain on Earth. Despite this, the technological and sustainable argument of public managers and capitalist businessmen is reductionist. In their demand, the 2030 Agenda for the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is linked to economic and social development. In our understanding, this aims to encapsulate everyone in the logic of consumption and economic exchange. Ethical values that are opposed to the existence of indigenous people, black ancestors and rural and forest populations in their inalienable and unsubmissive human ontology and ethics.
