SIMONE WEIL: ATTENTION, SPIRITUALITY, EDUCATIONAL ATTITUDE

Based on Simone Weil's philosophy, this study discusses the extent to which the spiritual link between being and the world finds the attentional experience that safeguards (and is safeguarded by) an educational dynamic – self-education. It develops the hypothesis of the correlation between attentional and spiritual experience as a critical front against the meaningless modern world and, therefore, as a condition for the constitutive educational attitude of the ethical-political engagement of the being in the world. With the outline of school activities and experiences, it highlights the form of relationship with study capable of bringing together intellectual and intuitive, ethical and moral aspects, in dynamics that find in the spiritual contribution the affirmation of plurality.
