Abstract

In this essay, we re-read Irma's Injection Dream, Freud's first dream submitted to analysis and reported in Dream Interpretation [Die Treumdeutung]. We discuss the relation memory, condensation and displacement in the primary processes of the dreamer's unconscious, from postulates that Freud presented about the working mechanism of dreams and their relation to the functioning of the psychic apparatus, drawn in the first topic known as Topographic Theory, and who gave support and support to his theory about dreams.

Maria da Conceição Fonseca-Silva, State University of Southwest of Bahia (Uesb/Brazil)

Maria da Conceição Fonseca-Silva is a Master's and PhD in Linguistics from Unicamp. She is a full professor in the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies of the State University of Southwest of Bahia. She works as a research professor in undergraduate courses, in the Postgraduate Program in Memory: Language and Society and in the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics of the State University of Southwest of Bahia. She is the coordinator of the Discourse Analysis Research Group (LAPADis / CNPq / Uesb) and the Research Group on Linguistic Studies (GPEL / CNPq / Uesb). He currently holds a research productivity fellowship (level 2) from CNPq.

Carla Cristiane de Oliveira Pinheiro, State University of Southwest of Bahia (Uesb/Brazil)

Carla Cristiane de Oliveira Pinheiro is a PhD student in Postgraduate Program in Memory: Language and Society pala Uesb. She is a professor of medicine at Uesb. Member of the Research Group on Discourse Analysis (GPADis / Uesb / CNPq).
